Jackalop - A little bit of history

SummerNeverEnd.jpg

- From snowboard clothes design to building skateboards -

Also known as Jackalop, this Quebec city artist had been first known in the fashion field as she started Jackalop inc, a clothes brand, in 2005.

Now living up in a little swiss chalet in the mountains of the Eastern Townships, she works and live under the same roof.

With a background in graphic design and fabric printing, and to merge drawing with the pleasure of working with natural wood, the idea of painting on it emerged.

Furthermore, it became an new occasion to offer a tangible existence to her illustrations.

The lush natural landscape that surrounds her, along with the little creatures that lives in it, provide her an infinite inspiration.

A little bit of history in pictures...

During her last years studying Fashion Design, she had the opportunity to work for Descente, a japanese sports clothes compagny, in Osaka and Tokyo, in the snowboard clothes design departement.

She brought back the idea of creating a line of snowboard onepieces.
